ARTIST STATEMENT

For me, art is about staying calm, organizing my mind, and expressing myself onto a piece of canvas. Usually, I draw inspiration by watching documentaries about animals or insects, or even plants. Whenever I saw skins of animals and insects or the surface of peculiar plants, I was always interested in their distinct patterns. To express these patterns, my favorite tool is acrylic paint, but I also like to use many different materials on my portfolio. For example, I like placing natural elements such as stone or dead flowers found in nature. Overall I want my audience to feel my artwork in textures and in dimensions rather than just a picture trapped inside a canvas.

Moreover, I mainly draw inspiration from my memories or stories from other people. Sometimes these memories can be good or bad, but I like painting them when they suddenly turn into uncomfortable situations for me. I imagine what will not happen yet, and guess what the consequences will be. Painting a situation that exists and does note—painting happens to make me interested more. Rather than painting a problem, it seems to be trying to express one part's position, such as insects or dead plants.

Insects can be seen more often in my portfolio rather than in people's figures. The reason I use insects is that their patterns are so attractive to me. As I used to raise insects when I was young, I am often more interested in drawing insects than humans. Insects also have characteristics, appearances, and atmosphere; only animals exist in people by diversity and are expressed in various ways. I don't know much about insects; I charge them for almost a millionth of millionths of common sense, so that is the reason why I want to learn more and express them more precisely to the audience.

Most of my portfolio is Combine Art and put other elements on the picture to complete it. I want to make my ideas that are special and cannot be followed by others. Draw an eye-catching picture and has an atmosphere like my favorite artwork, ''canyon'' by  Robert Rauchenberg. My ultimate goal is to get my portfolio impressed by people. Helping some students who are talented but who don't have much money and need support, and I wanted to support those kinds of people in the future by giving them information like I had and creating new skills with them.
